Personal Licence Holder

What is a personal licence?
A personal license allows an individual to authorise the sale or supply or alcohol under the Licensing Act 2003. All alcohol-serving premises with a premises licence need at least one personal licence holder.

About the licence
The personal licence is designed to ensure that anybody running or managing a business that sells or supplies alcohol will do so in a professional fashion. A personal licence holder can act as the designated premises supervisor for any business that sells or supplies alcohol.

How can a personal license holder help my event?
Within the United Kingdom all regulated entertainment that takes place in the presence of an audience

requires a licensee if alcohol is sold or supplied. This includes :
  • a performance of a play
  • an exhibition of a film
  • an indoor sporting event
  • a boxing or wrestling entertainment
  • a performance of live music
  • playing of recorded music
  • a performance of dance
